Carbon bonnet, bootlid and spoiler

Right, don't all flame me at once but I'm pondering a carbon bonnet and a spoiler with bootlid. GRP with carbon fibre gel construction are relative cheap. Around £800 for the bonnet and £1,500 for the bootlid.

I can't help thinking it might look a bit cr@p, plus the heat from the engine/exhaust might not be best for the bootlid.

Does anyone have these type of mods? Is there much weight saving? And have they lasted/weathered okay?

There was a carbon bonnet here a few weeks ago:
On the bike I have CF bolted direct to the exhaust headers as heat shields so its obviously suitable for prolonged high temp use.

Personally im not a great fan of CF on cars or bikes as its very easy to go OTT.
