C4s front bumper on C2?

Does anyone know if it will fit a 996.2 C2.

I'm sure I read somewhere it's just bolt on but want to be sure. I much prefer it to the C2 aero front I've got now.

They had them fitted to the 40th anniversary edition but not sure if it's the same or a narrower version

Winny

Interesting idea, curious to know too.

Hope someone pops along to help you out soon.

The wide body is just the back end.

I did think that myself. Just wondered if anyone had fitted one. I'm thinking c4s front bumper, 996 GT3 RS rear bootlid/wing and 911r white with green livery. With my 991 wheels I'm thinking it would look fresh but in keeping with the 996 era.

Any opinions are very welcome. :thumb:

Yes it will fit.

There was one fitted to mine.

And as a matter of interest a C4s rear bumper will also fit a C2

I have one for sale :D

I had been giving that colour scheme some thought myself

Ah ha excellent!!

The rear bumper......hmm hadn't thought of that. Don't mind the c2 one to be honest.

My car is white so with new engine cover/spoiler and front bumper will need some paint. The 911r type scheme looks so fresh. I don't want to make my 996 look like something else though. I want to retain the essence of 996. Nothing worse than trying to make a 996 look like a 997 etc.

Yeah I get what your saying. I have a picture of a 996rs with colour changed from red to green and it looks awesome.

I saw a post on this before. The bumper fits no problem but I think you also need the C4S crash bar as the C2 one is too long to allow it to fit. Also if you have a third radiator like an X51 or tip you will need the turbo centre grille or turbo bumper.

Thanks for the advice ref the bumper bar, I was wondering if there was a difference. I just have 2 rads so ok there

I am not sure what you mean by too long. The crash bar on my car looked like all the others i have seen, do you have any pictures to show the difference?

Here is the parts diagram of the narrow body and wide front. part 5 on the narrow body and part 18 on the wide body. you can see the narrow body extends further. Same if you look up the part numbers on design 911.
