C4S CD changer not talking to PCM/Head Unit ?? Help

As above, CD cartridge loaded but not recognised inside the car ??

Any idea's ? :?:
 
I have a similar problem on my c2, cd player with the 4 disc changer just below it doesn't seem to work or recognise it's their.

Or I'm just being really thick

The latter, I am afraid. The '4 disc changer' you are referring to is actually just a place to store CDs. It's not connected to the system.
