Noticed a low pitched but annoying buzz from the dashboard this afternoon which continued when the ignition was turned off. After a highly scientific investigation i.e lying upside down across the passenger seat and punching the dashboard, it seems to be coming from the interior temperature sensor.

Anyone know why this sensor would be doing this and what the cure might be?

I think there's a small fan that circulate air around the temp sensor, my just stopped working and needed replacemet, but I guess if it's faulty, it might be the cause of the noise.

It runs on for a few minutes after the engine is switched off - perfectly normal.
