Not particularly concerned myself, but I've been thinking......there's been a few threads about smoke on start up from left exhaust, suggesting possible bore scoring.

I understand what the actual scoring is, but what is the long term effect of having scored bores, other than increased oil consumption? I assume there is a big risk/danger somewhere due to the 'horror' feeling that usually goes along with the diagnosis?

Power loss, increased oil and fuel consumption, emissions failure.

long term effect is RSI from applying Brasso to affected exhaust tip before bunging into the Trade.
