1997, 45k miles, black with grey, £47k (assume this will be subject to 20% VAT to import to the uk)

Looks tasty, could be tempted,
Anyone know someone in Guernsey who could inspect the car for me ??

Cheers

£56.4k inc VAT.

Which seems about right for private (within the usual range of prices you see for 993).

Of course, if it is pristine, then it could be £10k+ undervalued.

Just realised I tried to buy this last year for £55k (inc VAT)

But owner (David Preston) wanted £66k (inc VAT) last April (a month before I bought what became GT4.2), so it didn't happen.

:frustrated:

Lovely looking car, one of my fave's. how come you didn't buy a Turbo GT4? Yours looks great too btw. :thumb:

I almost did as well. When you get sent a photo with bird ***** on one of the front wings.put me off my brekie, and i like my brekie .

I think these are actually the same pictures as last year, as it wasn't the car that reminded me, but the builder's back-drop! (are there no nice country roads or beaches in Guernsey :?: )

He was pretty off-hand and lacking in interest in my communications with him.

Didn't really make me comfortable to deal with him.

Buy the owner, not the car.

Lovely looking car. I would not have noticed that VAT was due, too busy looking at the pictures. Very nice.

Glad I am not in the market.

Anyone viewed it , this time or last year ?

I've had no answers to the questions I emailed the seller 5 or so days ago.

Before someone says why not ring rather than email, I'd rather use email as it gives time to reflect on the questions and answers (both to the seller and prospective buyer)

At circa £55k .......sounds sensible money assuming the history and condition checks out.

+1. Poor photos( i phone)to sell a car ,and to get me on a plane to go have a look.Got the feeling it was just a car to him,and not his love.also the only place to ppi it is where it gos for a service .dont know if it just me but one look at the pipes put me off .although for how much I know they might be the colour.... .having said that it could be a lovely car .

There is something of a theme: black with Marble interior and Turbo twists :?:

The market is thin at the best of times, I needed an AWD 993 ASAP (and not in green, yellow, red ... or a Tip or a cab or a Targa ... and 40k or less miles)

GT4.2 was the best fit at the time.

To be fair, £55k looked like it would have been a bargain (subject to survey etc), so that is what would have made me buy that Turbo.

But in reality, my heart wasn't really in a forced-induction engine or a widebody.

I didn't even really like GT4.2's rear spoiler (Aerokit 1a), but I think I have learned to love it now.

I hear ya. Spoiler looks great on yours. Always fancied the Turbo but price is Mark 1 GT3CS territory(hopefully next on my list).

Always wonder why people put their car up for sale but put little or no effort into selling it. Is it a case of pleasing the OH with no actual interest in shifting it?
