wanting non adjustable set of 4 - whos the cheapest?

Migration info. Legacy thread was 22302

Ninemeister in Warrington seemed to be the cheapest when I was looking last year (admittedly for a 3.2 Carrera), but prices everywhere are fairly comparable. The Bilsteins on my 964 came from Power Marques IIRC.

I'd be interested as well, after getting new tyres all round and a 4 wheel alignment, apart from the choppy ride I can see the tyres are cupping, so looks like shot shocks.

From what I've read the Bilstein HD's don't match very well with the factory springs so I was considering Bilsteins + HR springs = 1250 euro or about £875 from Gert.

Anyone got any opinions/personal experience on the best shock/spring combination. My car is factory lowered with standard suspension, so I'm happy with the ride height as is but wouldn't want to put Bilsteins in on their own if they don't compliment the factory shocks.

Do the springs typically tend to last about the same as the shocks, or longer?

I have been in correspondance with Gert over the last month on this very subject as my car has the M033 springs.

He said that the Bilstein HD's, are these B6 sports?, will be fine with factory springs, however if like me the car has been lowered on the M033 springs I would possibly need the shocks with the extra thread.
