I don’t think any car at those sort of prices is an investment - they need to be bought to be driven and enjoyed. If your lucky you may make a few bob when you sell - if your unlucky you may pop your cloggs when your sitting on a goldmine.

Stop worrying about cars as investments even the old air cooled cost you dough to maintain and then you 'protect' what you have you don't use it and treat it as a ornament. It can be fun on those dark winter nights when you nip out into the garage after Emmerdale with your flask of cocoa, unzip the carcoon, take out the spacesaver spare wheel from your 993 and inflate it, marvelling how it grows in size and then shrinks back when you expend the air.
