Any other thoughts on 3 days total to/from london?...preferably abroad as have now put some serious miles on gb roads..Thanks, Mike

Tours - Loire valley France. Superb town for nights out in the medeaval old town square - cheap hotels in the town centre. Beautiful students from the uni. Lots of bars and restaurants. Been there 15 or so times and never disappointed.
Call in at Le Mans on the way and drive down the Mulsanne straight - which just happens to be the road to Tours.

Go to the Nurburgring - one day across France, Belgium and into Cologne. About 80km from the 'ring - but all the roads around there are so brilliant you'll wonder why you bothered to pay 7 Euro per lap !! (or was that 7 Quid?)
