Now that I have nice shiny new wheels, the discs are looking a bit shabby and could do with replacing.

Any ideas appreciated for replacements, thanks :)

I've just ordered a rear brake package from Design 911 at £199 (+vat). I'm expecting Pagid discs and pads which are stated as Original Equipment Quality. I used before so I don't doubt the quality.

I weighed it up against ordering it all separate from Euro Car Parts and even with 'upto 50% off' it was still more cost effective to buy from Design 911.

Make sure you order some new caliper bolts as well. 2 on each caliper.

cheers guys for pointing me in the right direction, I like the sound of the Frazer parts and that Zimmerman have some brand credibility. Also like the sound of the complete package set from Design 911 which works out £398 +VAT which sounds like a bargain, although it states Original equipment quality, but not stating manufacturing.

interested to see if anyone has used the Design 911 discs, they do look good, especially at the package price including shims etc. :thumb:

I presume according to simon_house that I will need to order 8 caliper bolts also. :?:

The TSB I read on caliper bolts for the 993 brakes said new fronts but re-use the rears.... IIRC.

....but the 996 might be different.

The OEM discs I bought for my 986 from design911.com came in Pagid boxes.

Chris.

I ordered mine from Jasmine Porsche through their ebay shop. Discs are Pagid and pads are in pagid boxes and are textar bradned.

Yes. It would be good practice. £2.50 each IIRC.

Pagid and Textar are part of the TMD friction group. Sebro and Zimmermann discs are also reported to be good quality.

Just about to place an order with Design 911 and wanted to check whether I have missed anything. Have added Caliper bolts, mounting screws and lubricant.

Have remembered the 911UK09 code which dips the price under £500. Anything I have missed :?:
