Apologies for the daft question but should i disconnect the battery from the car before connecting my conditioner?
 
No need to. It's designed to be used in situ. Mine has a special adapter which attaches to the battery terminals in the car.
 
Thanks for reply. Hopefully it will dry up sometime soon and I won't be needing the Ctek
