Archer Sportscars - Positive buying experience

Having recently purchases a 2012 991.1 C2S from Giles at Archer Sportscars, I thought I would post about the positive experience.

Having emailed a couple of other dealers to enquire about a other 991's and receiving replies that they wouldn't offer test drives without commitment to buy and deposit being paid. Archer Sportscars was the total opposite, I called to enquire and immediately offered a viewing and test drive with no expectation of deposit.

Their website is very well done, and has a few nice touches that I haven't seen on other, such as a copy of build sheet based on the VIN, copy of the service book and MOT history.

When I arrived to test drive the car, it was ready to go and very well presented, and performed as expected on the drive. The car was well priced compared to the market, with the only negative being the 12 year major service coming up. Given this there wasn't much room for negotiation but I did manage a small amount to help towards the service.

I left a deposit and arranged to pick it up the next week, with a new MOT and 6 months warranty. Again the car was well prepared and ready to go when I came to pick it up.

Having since had the car serviced , it has come back with a clean bill of health (sigh of relief as I didn't have a PPI)

Archer Sportscars only stock a hand full nicely chosen Porsches, if they have something you are looking for I would recommend them.

This is one is mine - https://www.archersportscars.co.uk/used/cars/porsche/911/carrera-s-pdk-66

always good to hear a positive story, who is their warranty with or is it inhouse ?

996 to 991, how's that change feeling (y)

The warranty is with Warranty Wise not be best cover though.

The 991 feels a lot more modern and usable with space for my son in the back.I took the 996 out today and realised how much quieter the exhaust is than the 991. Also nice not to have to worry as much about IMS, bore scoring etc.
