Anyone use a Road Angel

Does anyone else here use a Road Angel and notice a discrepancy with their speedo reading??? I used my wife's in the 993 over the weekend and there is a 5-7 mph difference at 80mph, i.e. The 993 shows 80 and the RA shows 74-5!!

Any ideas?

Yep - Got an Angel in my 996 & there is a constant 5-6mph difference through all speeds.

Remember that Angel uses GPS so is a lot more accurate than a speedo in a car, plus all speedo's are designed to over-read by about 5%

Those 2 together account for the difference.

If you check out AutoCar magazine when they fully road test cars there is a table that shows Speedo speed & actual speed (they use GPS to performance test all their cars) & there is always a difference - quite shocking in some cases how out it is !

I tallied my speedo against a GPS and it also showed a discrepancy of around 8mph throughout the sped range.
