I'm considering trading in my 993 for a 1982 930 3.3 that has been tuned by RUF, car has 380 Hp, BTR brakes, 100 litre tank, RUF dials, suspension, mirrors, wheels etc. Interior is lightweight RS style.

Does anyone know much about what RUF might have done to the engine to obtain the extra 80 gee gee's? It has has an adjustable boost up to 1.1 bar.

Any comments as to how risky this car might be to own - i mean running costs, mega priced repairs etc. I've attached a pic - more available if needed.

Cheers chaps !

Nothing, just that this car will be costly to run, a handful to drive and not too easy to resell. However like I said if you don't intend to drive it regularly and want something very "exotic" compared to your 993 then go for it.

I don't think the running costs will be any different to any other car.

PM me if you want to ask anymore questions. I also know where there is a very similar car which is prestine and is for sale.

Hi Sean,

The car im looking at is here
www.autoforce.ch
. Click on Angebot and its on the second page.

Can you let me know where the car you mentioned is? Just curious to compare them.

Poon - The intention is that this beomes my summer car, with a normal car to drive in winter.

If its coming from switzerland i think you'll have to pay vat when you register it in the uk and if you can't get a certificate of conformity you'll need a SVA test ( switzerland isn't a member of the EEC)
