I tend to drive my car at weekends and drive it hard, using country lanes and a little bit of dual carriage way. The car drives like a dream and I absolutely love it.

This week I've been fitting an iPod adapter and four new speakers and when I started it last night and again tonight I noticed the car sounded like it was blowing badly. But neither exhaust was blowing. When I revved it a little it seemed to get better then at tick over just sounded bad.

After no more than a minute or two it sounded perfect again.

I did exactly the same again tonight and once again it sounded awful and then after a min or two fine. It just sounds very tinny and blowy.

So far the car has not missed a beat on any level and I've loved owning it. So I am possibly being a little hyper sensitive but does anyone have ideas??

I'm off to Wrightune next Tuesday to have a little mod done and I will certainly ask them, but am happy to hear from you guys if you've experienced anything similar.

Check the connections and gaskets, then check for internal baffles moving about.

Smoke bombe test being done tomorrow morning! Will hopefully find out then

It was a loose connection where the manifold pipes meet the main exhaust. Bumper came off, all nuts (badly rusted/corroded), all cut off, replaced with stainless nuts and bolts. Car is now quieter than ever and drives perfectly once again.
