Anti-gatso tactics, hypothetical

Has anyone thought of using any tactics to stop silly fines like doing 60 on an empty dual-carriageway limited to 50, happened to a friend of mine.

I have heard about using foil above the rear number plate.

I am sure actually doing this sort of thing is illegal, but thinking about it is currently legal - surely (busy checking the Queens speech just in case).

There are many things you can do. Firstly, I would recommend buying a GPS locator like a Road Angel or Origin. There are a number of other steps you can take.

Have a look on the UKspeedtraps website. It explains the different technology the authorities use to target motorists and how you can best minimise the risk of being caught the way yoir friend was.
