Sorry for not paying enough attention to earlier threads but...

What Zymol products do I need for a 'better than new' finish on my Iris Blue 993?

Also, I've got a local valeter who stocks something called DT Concours - Carnuba based etc etc which seems alot cheaper than Zymol - anybody heard of this stuff?

I know of at least 6 people who use DT Concours and all of them think it is very good.

Also consider products from Zaino Bros and Meguiars. Cheaper and easier to apply, but fantastic results. I have used Zymol in the past and although v good also really expensive and cannot justify the extra expense as the finish I get is just as good if not better although the car does not smell of bananas anymore :)

Thanks William - car is going to be treated with DT Concours tomorrow on the basis that it is alot less expensive than Zymol & I guess if I'm not pleased with the finish I can always go for Zymol next time!

For anybody interested I'll post once I've inspected the results

This is a picture of my latest car which has had only one coat of Zaino, and has not been clayed etc. It s recommended to do about 3 coats for the really deep lustre finish and at about 60% cheaper and easier to apply, no contest.

Also done over 200 miles in pouring rain and fog and not washed since the application of the product. Zymol users weep :)

Sho' is shiny.

Had the Concours treatment done - looks about a hundred times better than before, but the finish still lacks the brilliance on yours - I suspect previous owners haven't done much more than show my car the occasional bucket of soapy water & I'll need to give it another couple of go's before it looks like I think it should

Luke,

When you had the work done did they strip off the old wax then clay it before the 2 or 3 step application of the products?

Ever a tinkerer, have now just received some bottles of Rejex to put on top of the Zaino as the Rennlist guys are going nuts for the stuff. Once I have had a chance to wash the car and apply some of it will post some pics.

Pics now after the Rejex has been put on top of Zaino and can also be put over any other type of wax.

Don't know if they stripped off the old wax, but they certainly clayed the bodywork - the paint feels totally smooth.

Can't see your pics at the moment (limited connection at work), but will inspect them later
