don;t know of anyone in your area. But make sure you check the balancing before you pay. I have had a very bad experience having alloy's repaired on a BMW 5 - persistent vibration through the car done to a wheel which was repair. It appears balance at first.

Take driving lessons mate!

Remember, your new car is significantly wider at the rear.

I've had my RUF 18" alloys straightened (after hittiong a breeze block at speed!) and refurbed at Diamond Styling, Park Royal, London. I'd heard really good reports about them. My wheels came back fine - straight (I had the run out checked on a suspension jig) and well painted. I've had bad experience of other refurbers and will stick to Diamond Styling from now on.

They are on :-

There is a company with mobile vans called Spit + Polish which most dealers in the Surrey / Sussex area seem to use to refurb alloys. I believe they charge about £ 60 per wheel.

Hi guys

Thanks loads 4 the advice (esp driving lessons....ha ha). Unfortunately my wheel was damaged beyond repair, so I bought a new set of 18" turbo replicas from some really helpful chaps in Hainault, Essex (911design.co.uk - or maybe design911.co.uk- sorry it's late) Really good deals on wheels with people close by to fit them at preferential rates.

Thanks again for your help. Will be driving mor carefully now!!
