Alloy Gauge Bezels

They're painted metal and simply push and stick over the existing cluster. The ones I've seen looked very nice. I guess you can fit them without removing the cluster if you're careful. Personally, for the easy job it is, I'd probably remove the cluster and do it off the car so that the binnacle isn't in the way.

My ride
Very easy to install...stick it on the cluster, 5 min job...looks great :)

Has anybody fitted the alloy gauge bezels as an aftermarket item? I'm looking at these http://www.design911.co.uk/fu/prod13453/Gauge-Bezels-Alloy-Porsche-996---Boxster-986/ and wondering if they are (metal)alloy or painted plastic. Also not sure if they are a remove old and replace with new item or a trim that fits over the existing bezel.

Any information appreciated.

I bought a set of these some while ago but found that the two outer (smallest) bezels didn't fit! Had to return them for a refund ... :?

I bought these, but I'm not to impressed by the lack of a fitting kit. You just get the bezels, but nothing to stick them on with.

Anyone got any tips?

I bought a set soon after buying my 996 C4 . Sent back for a credit note as I couldn't get them to fit flush and they wouldn't stick properly even though I had cleaned the binnacle with alcohol wipes.

Hmmm, seems like a mixed bag of results.

So are they a hollow or shell type pressing that goes over the top of the current plastic bezel?

Stefan, they look nice in your car :)

Each piece is seperate and slots over the existing bezel. When I tried to fix one next to another the previous bezel popped off :x .
I put my credit note towards a cold air inductution pipe and K&N filter panel :thumb:
