Hi Again

Any one know how much a dealer should charge for this? I have had varying quotes!!

At what age do kids not need airbag deactivating?

What model are you driving?

On the Boxster 987 the kit, which consists of a retro fitted switch and Isofix points in the passenger seat, costs around £180 plus another £200 to fit.

I presume that it would be a similar kit for a 997.

The 986/996 kit consists of a bar with a part that looks like a seatbelt clasp, in which a part that is attached to the Porsche child seat fits and then deactivates the airbag.

It seems that with the former system you are not restricted to getting Porsche ie expensive, child seats.

The height and weight of the child is more important then the age, but sorry I don't have the relevent figures.

Thats an interesting point. Does anyone know if and where the fuse for the airbag is.

I would imagine that it would disable all the airbags though.
