I have a 996 C4s and am looking to fit a sat nav system including blue tooth if possible. I know this can be achieved using the Tom Tom 500 but are there any other options? The car is fitted with bose sound

I'm having the Becker with Bluetooth fitted tommorow in my 99 C2 Cab. They are also fitting the Silverstone CD changer.

At present the car has a Blaupunkt radio/sngCD with red/blue boy racer graphics and looks awful. Hence the move to Becker to get back close to original equipment.

I'll let you know my view once I've had it in the car for a few days.

Thanks for suggestions - I checked out sempal and it looks as though I have a problem. Because my car is a 2003 model it has the fibre optic comms system making it impossible to fit the Becker or any other system without disabling the bose sound which I don't want to do.

I checked with the supplying dealer about the possibilities of retro fitting PCM 2, which they initially said was possible before backtracking and saying the only alternative is to sell the car and buy another with the system already fitted!

Maybe a Tom Tom or similar system is the only way forward but if any one else knows better??............

I just tried out a Navman ICN 510. Really impressive piece of kit! Decided yup I have NO sense of direction so I really do need one!

I will be following Mark Pearces advice though and fitting the Becker unit from Sempal. It costs the same and you get a whole new unit and no things to stick to windscreen etc etc.

Only downside is that its not transferable from car to car. God sometimes I just can't win! Still means I just have to take the 911 everywhere so there is an upside!!
