As some of you may well know my Audi is up for sale. I have been offered a car in part ex towards the deal. Its done 45k and here is the car:

Question is do I go for it? I know nothing about these, all I know is its a rover engine, no elecy windows, no ac and difficult to get in and out of. How much is it worth?

Don't be silly mate! Got nothing against the car as such, but if it's a C4S you've promised yourself, you've got to keep focussed!

For that sort of money you can get a decent 964 carrera 2 or 4 and look at doing a few mods.

i'd also watch that it hasn't been involved in some off-track shenanigans and repaired without Insurance knowing so therefore won't come up with any HPI check......seems to be a bit on the cheap side for an Elise S2....tho I suppose summer is over and toyota engined ones are starting to become available won't help...........if it was me i'd decline

Very high mileage for an elise. There is a 2002 with half the mileage on Autotrader for £12K. Hard to sell especially with winter coming up, and lots of other cars for sale, and red leather is not everones cup of tea!

I would say its worth no more than £11K

Don't go with it G. a dealer wouldn't take a part ex at full retail value so why should you. You'd be better off biting the bullet on the Audi and selling that to a dealer accepting less for it.
