996 wheels on a 993 ?

Hi,

I have been offered a set of 18" alloys wheels for my 993, but the wheels came off a 996...

Does any of my fellow 911 (er's) know if they will fit.. as I have been told the 996 wheels on fit 996 + 997, where 964 wheels WILL fit 993 ?

Hi Dan

Yes 996 18" wheels are a straight bolt on fit to your 993 to the best of my knowledge. I have fitted 2004 18" Carerra Alloys on my 97 993 C4 and it was just a straight replacement fit, although I am lead to believe that if your 993 is pre95 a steering rack brace is recommended.
