996 Turbo

Hi All,

Just a quickie....Was the 996 Turbo ever face-lifed, like the other 996? Are they all twin turbo?

They are all twin turbo and I don't think they were face lifted, if so it would have been very minor. The non turbos were face lifted to have the turbo lights plus other tweeks.

996tt had some very minor changes in 03, with PCM2 system and wheel change in 03/04 I think.

IIRC a bunch of stuff became standard e.g. Bose, auto wipers and couple of other toys.

and i think it got a glovebox like other facelifted 996's.

...but for some reason they didn't feel any engine mod was needed! Can't think why! :wink:

close...the slight update was in 02, nothing major though...

When I checked recently, it was 2003 model year that had PCM2 etc, some of which appeared in 2002. I looked at a 03 reg but it was 02 model and PCM1 apparently leaves a bit to be desired.
