The sides of the rubbery bit on the retractable spoiler of my 996 have split and I would like to replace this. Do I have to buy a whole spoiler unit for this or does the rubber come as seperate item? Also, hiow easy is this to do yourself? On my previous 964's and 993's black duck tape used to do the trick but the 996 design is very different.

Have a look on p-car.com. This problem is covered for the 993, so I can't imagine that the fix for the 996 would be all that different.
