I'm putting a Turbo badge on my rear spoiler as it was factory deleted. Could somebody measure the distance from the bottom of the rear spoiler to the bottom of the badge and any other measurements which you might think helpful.

Thanks

Sorry- don't have a Turbo... can I suggest popping down to a local specialist with a ruler and a big smile?

Alternatively, look at some pics- I fitted a boot badge to a Jag XK8 doing that and it looked spot on.

I need to replace the targa badge on my car and was wondering what the best material is to use to remove the old adhesive without damaging the paint. Anyone done this before and got any recommendations?

Cheers, Jon.

Remove bits of adhesive with fingernail, then gently rub area with soft cloth dipped in a bit of petrol, followed by a good polish I'd suggest.

A car dealer once told me he used a hairdryer to soften the adhesive when removing badges.

or - to get the badge off - use a piece of cotton or dental floss to saw throught the sticky stuff - the sticky stuff underneath can usually be removed via one's thumb. Best to do it on a warm day - helps it get sticky and soft.

Thanks guys, hopefully give it a go this weekend, just hope the neighbours don't think I've lost the plot if they see me using a hair dryer on the car :)

Hi Mark,

That would be great thanks. But don't hurry as it got lost in the post and they're a bit reluctant to send me another.

I'm from Cork by the way, you must have one of the only T4's over there!

Don.

not quite, there are two over here, one a silver 95 and my own 95 again in midnight blue, a left hooker

the centre of the badge is exactly centeren verticle between the lower lip and the botom of the curve at the top...............does that make sense ????. probably not.
