993 Screen

The screen on my '97 993 is quite badly scratched, and on sunny evenings, it makes visibility terrible.

I really need a new screen, I reckon.

What's the best way to go.... dealer or Autoglass etc. It's the one with the Radio antenna in it

'Aquire' a bloody big stone chip and get it done on the Insurance - they would have to replace it with an antenna screen and will onlpy set you back 50 squid!

Just had mine replaced by Autoglass as it had a massive chip and crack, got it done through the Insurance so only cost £50.

Its exactly the same screen as before, top tint and antenna, takes them a couple of days to order the screen in though.

I'm happy with what they have done, its even got rid of the dreaded windscreen creak!

Definitely get it done on the Insurance,

a new screen will cost (wait for it, are you sitting down) £995 if you buy it privately.

That's the quote I had from autoglass when I was looking. It's a two man job as well so make sure who ever turns up has a spare pair of hands with them...
