Advice much appreciated.
I have a near mint 1996 993 which has only 18,000 miles on it. Mileage is correct as it has a FPMDSH and i have known of the car since it was new. When i bought the car 2 years ago it had been laid up for about 3 years and had covered only 11k miles.
Problem i have is that the clutch definitley feels as though it needs replacing. I find this suprising and wondered if the symptoms i have experinced - mainly very limited pedal travel for the clutch to bite - could be caused by other problems such as slave cylinder problems or similar due to car being laid up for an extended period???
Local specialist agrees it is odd, but sees $ rolling past his eyes. He also suggests i may ride the clutch. I can categorically, totally deny this and know that i do not. (Good driver training and a brief fling with a red italian tought me not to!!)
Question is really 'could my clutch be worn after 11k miles?' as since then driving has been 90% on French traffic free roads...
All comments and suggestions appreciated!
