993 C4S third brake light not working

The third brake light on my '96 C4S has stopped working. The n/s lower brake light bulb blew so I have replaced that and checked Fuse 19 in the front - all OK and working fine, except the high level third light still does not work.

Any ideas on how to fix this? Is there a separate fuse for the third light ?

Any help would be gratefully received.

My book on the 993 says fuse 19 does the stop lights - there is no mention of a fuse just for the 3rd stop light.

I think the best thing to do would be to check to see if you are getting any voltage to the hi level lamp unit first, pretty straight forward to remove the colour coded cover just pull it upwards, then you will need a volt meter, you can clearly see the two wires. They can wear through and break where they pass through the windscreen frame, particularly if the car has had replacement glass. If you are getting voltage you may need to take the red plastic cover of the bulb holders and visually check them, they may of blown unlikely that they have all gone at once though. They can be purchased at any OPC, but you will need to be handy with a soldering iron.
