Just pootling along on the internet and came across this: http://www.topgear.com/uk/porsche/911/road-test/gt3-rs amongst which was this line "The list goes on: lightweight wheels; aluminium body panels; plastic rear window; canvas straps for internal door handles; no heavy, flappy paddle gearbox (Preuninger: "Grandmas can use paddles. They aren't challenging")

Pip :puh:

Piech says ...

VW thinks differently:

a) they are popular in China
b) they lower overall group emissions and hence the EUR15k manufacturer fines for excess CO2 emission per vehicle (offset against low emissions credits on other group vehicles)
c) the MPG rises (sort of the same as above, but more useful and less BS)
d) the 0-62.5mph dash is dispatched more quickly (important for all the incessant ranking in magazines and internet fora)
e) the Ferrari ("I spit on your flat-six") 458 has one
f) they are popular in the US.

I think that covers it, if not Prueninger's ass.

Thank you GT4. I think (f) covers it for me, one of the laziest people I can think of as well as in the clinically obese top ten. Closely followed by us of course. Mind you I am someone who shakes their head as I watch travellers walking on the travelator and escalators at the airports.

:wack: "You'll be sat on your fat arse for the next few hours anyway"

Yes but surely you're okay with people walking or running on travelator's and escalators in order to get somewhere on time.... :?:

... I get annoyed with people that do NOT walk on travelators in London underground stations like Green Park...!!

What about the people who get onto travelators and walk the wrong way?

I started doing that last week, damn iPhone

I do not think I have seen anyone running on a travelator unless you are talking about in the gymnasium. People who are in a hurry do not run on travelators they run next to is as it is faster due to all the fat lazy gits that stand in the way with all their luggage blocking the gangway.

I make a point of walking faster than those ambling along on the travelator and am rarely beaten.

I thought I saw you on your walk to work the other day...
