I have some hard back sports seats which have a leather pockets Im pretty sure they came from a 987.1....I want to remove the rear pockets on the hard back seats and get them painted or wrapped. However, cant find any way of removing the rear leather pockets searched the web apart from somone doing on some older 996 seats but very sparse on detail
Any clues , hints ,tips appreciated..ideally want to remove without removing the hard back seat portion..much appreciated

I can't remember how I took mine off exactly, but I was painting the seat backs and dying the leather so I stripped the seats down fully, if you do remove the pocket they leave holes in the seat back and they will need filling.
When I removed the pockets I fiberglassed behind before filling, sanding and painting.

Do you think they can be removed without the seat backs coming off….the porsche seat diagrams don’t give too much away…planning putting pockets back after

I can't remember exactly as it was a long time ago, but I think they were a kind of hook into the holes. Lifting or pushing the pocket up may get it off.
But again they could be screwed on, it was around 10 years ago. If you can remove the tombstone part of the seat back you might be able to see through, I think it just pulls off front the top.

They should just pull up to remove. They look the same as 996 seat of which I have one removed currently so I can take a picture later if it helps.

That would be fantastic if you can....I can see the hooks from the porsche classic diagrams but cant figre if its a screw at the top or just a pull out lug...dont want to snap anything as paid top dollar for the seats

Hope these pictures help. There's a small serated section near the bottom that you can see on the pocket frame that I have removed. Hopefully the 987/997 pockets are the same as 996 and a good pull upwards will detach it 🤞
