Hello
I have purchased a Porsche soundproofing pad for the engine compartment as mine must have fallen apart over the years!. One side is rubber backed and the other has a plastic coating. A silly question but which way up does it go?. Should the rubber backed side go uppermost or the other way round. I have had different views although I suspect it probably does not make much difference.

Any advice appreciated in advance. Thanks

I think the plastic coating side is glued uppermost to the firewall :dont know:
