Karting would be great fun, there are plenty of tracks available, Wilton Mills in Daventry is one of the better ones I've seen. Wkends would be better as I have to do something not very nice called "work" during the wk!

Noony, you should really think seriously about kart racing. OK, it's no exotic machinary but you can race/drive to and beyond the limits of the motor without costing an arm and a leg. Furthermore, you can start from age 8! Look into TKMs, you can go pretty fast in one of them!

Noony, if you want to try a TKM, let me know, you can have a go in mine first, they're MUCH faster than the kart you drive on fun days etc. They have a top speed of 80mph!

It is Junction 18 or 19 (I think) on the M1, just north of Northampton. Pretty long way from London - 1.5hrs or so (I have been doing the damn drive most days for the last 2 months)
