Hi

I have 2 quick questions;

Would these turbo look II wheels fit my 1995 993 TT?

Front 8" wide, 225/40/18 tyres.
Rears 11" wide, 295/30/18 tyres.

Next question

If I bought the H&R springs with Bilstein HD shocks from carnwell do they just bolt on or do I have to have them fitted and the wheels aligned etc.

Thank you in advance
Simon

For Q no.2, as far as I know they are just bolted on to replace the original ones, and yes, you definately need wheel alignment afterwards.

you need to check the offsets

i.e the et nos

turbos and widebody cars have different off sets to narrow body cars

so the et nos will be different, so that the wheels fill the arches

1/ Not sure whether you can squeeze 11s in the rear. The recomended sizes and offsets are

Front 225/40/18 with an offset of 52mm

Rear 285/30/18 with an offset of 40mm

2/ Unless you are good mechanically you'll need to get them fitted. It's not a particularly simple job but I don't know what your skills are.

To do a proper job you should get them fitted, have corner balancing done and finally alignment done including kninematic alignment. Unless you have all three done you are not going to have an optimum set up.

Ian.

Mankster has these fitted on his C2S and does not seem to be having any problems so have a chat with him. They do look great as well so if they do fit thn go for it. The offsets are correct for your car so I cant see there being a problem they should just bolt straight on.

Well i got out bid on ebay, for 2nd hand wheels and tyres i didnt want to pay as much as the winner did.

But i think i'll probably get some at a later date after or when i get the new suspension.

I'd be inclined to have them expertly fitted, with the suspension corner weighted and aligment done- 993s are very susceptible to poor set-up probs.

I just wanted to say thank you all for the help/advice.

When it gets nearer the time to get this stuff I’m sure I’ll be back to pick your brains with questions like who should i get to fit the parts near SW london, if I order from carnewal do I have to pay VAT etc etc :D

Thanks
Simon

You will pay Belgian tax, but it still works out cheaper than sourcing from the UK.
