So I got these wheels and tyres off fleabay a while ago as they were a bit of a bargain and I love them but the front have rubbing issues on the front to the point they were rubbing the screw heads that hold the inner wheel ache liners in place
I could have messed around with the one year old geo and pulled back the caster to get them to fit but that did not feel like that was the solution to me as my car is set up very nice for fast road and occasional track day use
So I have asked a few of the guys on here who have them fitted and came to the conclusion that a narrower tyre would be the way to go first
so 225/40/18 now down to 215/40/18 .The Contis that came off have gone on to my 993 Techarts wheels ,like for like
And I have fitted Falken 453s as these are for every day use not track the whole excersise cost £198 including the swapping the second set of tyres
I have gained a gap of at least two fingers wide at the worst rubbing point
I thought you guys would like some photos for the front wheel profiles
