I am interested to find out if anybody has used both Zymol Auto Clear and Meguiars NXT? which seems to be better?

Also i see that the NXT is a rather large amount almost 2 litres while Zymol auto clear is roughly 500ml.
Does anyone know the ratio of shampoo to water?

Any additional info would be great

Thanks

Welcome to you from S Africa!

I use both. I would not bother to use the Zymol Clear auto bathe unless you have done the full Zymol treatment. Once you have waxed your car with Zymol, I would stick to the Zymol Clear which gives a great finish without stripping the wax (but then neither will any PH neutral shampoo apparently)

The NXT seems to produce lots a foamy bubbles and gives a good shine, even to a car that has not been waxed. The Zymol on the other hand cleans very well but contains no special polymers etc.

You use only a little amount of either shampoo, and only a couple of squirts of the Zymol so it lasts quite a while.

The Mequiars is very good indeed for the money.

Hope this helps,

Robert.

Thanks Robert,

Zymol has just become available in SA. I have decided to only use Zymol products based on their reputation as well as their results. . .

Your views?

The NXT is harsher and more powerful washing I have found. The NXT can strip wax. Do a search on Zymol etc its been covered many times on here. I prefer Gold class Meguairs to NXT as its gentler.

Thanks G Unit,

Zymol is not worth the money, The durablity is poor.

Better results can be had by a £12 wax.

If you looked on some detailing forums you would see the results and tests done.

depends which wax mate. I agree with you partly but it depends which Zymol your going up against. Im talking totally on performance not price. I have done a few tests and beaten some of the dearer waxes easily.

Zymol is the only waxing process I enjoy, and IMO it does give an exceptional finish, and the finish seems to bead water and feel smooth for longer than anything else I've tried.

So much of the percieved results is down to preparation- a pro detailer could use a poor quality wax and still get a better overall finish than a muppet with Zymol.

At the end of the day, we could debate Zymol/Swissol/Victoria etc ad infinitum and we will all never agree- the important thing is that we all use what makes us happiest.

Well on forums you will get Pro detailers admitting that zymol isnt that good compared to other makes. ( forgetting price, based on performance )
