BIG brother. Next stop, clean licence (well not in my case) to ban before the engine's warmed up. If they can record where you are on each CCTV camera, it should be nothing to programme in the distance between them and link it to Swansea.

Dear Mr Putin,

Please nuke Swansea and save all our licences. :P

Good job I am leaving to Madrid then.....knowing them they will probably follow me there and still take away my license. This is a great way for someone to win a load of votes....NOT!!!!!

Problem with all these good ideas is that they start off harmless enough

However some bright spark finds new ways to use/apply them

[Begin Rant]

This number plate thing no doubt in the future they some chirpy police chief will realise that they can use it to average peoples speed and bam suddenly we all in the sh*t

What about the new EU internet snooping law. What is a serious offence? I'm sure I can guess what the RIAA would call downloading an MP3

Nanny state seems to be the product of terrorism. We allowed the government to talk up the threat and basically turned over are lives to them. I mean look what they did in Iraqi the whole point of that war was to appease the Americans lust for revenge (I say that having many American friends) and now it’s the biggest terrorist destination.

Have we lost our freedom?

Remember that old chap who heckled the Labour party conference?

If Tony had his way the man could have been held 3months without trial

Pause for thought

Well, you know what to do at the next election- something the majority of those who voted sadly failed to do last time!

Right, I'm only using B-roads from now on - no camera's to worry about - just tractors!

Its now out on pistonheads as well. This is starting to scare me. Just imagine if companies start using it as well to track their employees as part of 'Health and Safety'.

Three website links about cameras / big brother / speeding and the "truth" -

PA Consulting 'proves' that speed cameras save lives on behalf of the DFT :

http://www.dft.gov.uk/stellent/groups/dft_rdsafety/Documents/downloadable/dft_rdsafety_610816.pdf

Road fatalities are increasing as camera numbers increase - official road accident statistics :

http://www.safespeed.org.uk/stats/graphs.html

This one is interesting - US state of Montana was forced by the US Supreme court to institiute low speed limits and enforce them. So we have a great case study where speed policing went from zero to max in a very short time - see the results below -

Enjoy - THEN CALL YOUR MEMBER OF PARLiAMENT AND TELL HIM HOW YOU FEEL!!
