What did you buy your 997 this week?

I used Wago fittings when I fitted my DSC. I remember finding switched live wire in the loom was a pain, it was quite high up in the loom.
I used the same style fittings too, was a easy process once finding the correct wires. The wires can look daunting and a mess but be patient and double triple check you are splicing the right wires.

I've gone full "tart's handbag" for the rest of the summer.

Nice one mate, I’m prob being thick, where is TP? I’m looking to get one next couple of months
Hi,

Search for DSC, but TP Racing are in the US and are the manufacturer of the controller.

My car today has gone in for its long awaited wrap but to make sure the finish is as perfect as possible ive ordered the following from OPC:

New bonnet badge, Gasket and nuts (turbonite one for sale in the FS Section)
Two new door handle gaskets
big bag of new door panel fixings (they always break removing the door cards)
Roof rail gaskets, adaptors and fixings
all new screws for wheel arches bumpers etc
New bolts for centre brake light panel
992 Door decals in Aurum gold to match the wheels
new rear mudguard / sill plastics to freshen it up
New front splitter for aero bumper

Cant wait to get it all back together!!

A few months ago i bought armourall headlight restore wipes, the first wipe takes all the yellow off and i must say they did an amazing job, then you use a different wipe to seal the light , well this went totally wrong and just left the light cloudy and in a worse state than before, I’ve been wondering how to tackle this ever since, today whilst going through all my cleaning products i found an auto glym headlight restore kit, i used just the final polish cream on a pad in my drill, its worked amazingly well and took about a minute a side, I can’t believe the results !!!FullSizeRender.jpeg

Wow, result looks really good. I recommend you PPF the lenses now you’ve got them back to a good standard.

Yes i was thinking the same, pre cut on eBay look ok ? Anyone have experience of these ?

I don’t have experience using the pre-cut stuff so can’t comment on doing it yourself.

I had both my headlights polished and PPFed along with replacement rear arch stone protectors, and my rear lights PPFed by Max Protect (based in Kings Langley, Herts) for £390.

I actually had this leather clad and stitched centre console for a few months. Bought it from @911cab but sent it to DesignLS to get the armrest reupholstered. Anyway, picked it up yesterday and plan to fit it next weekend.

Just one thing I’m not too happy with and that’s it was originally from a 997.2 cab so has the electric roof switch. I’m working on a solution to replace the button, but I’ll live with it in the short term.

Not bought but fitted... Stainless designtek tubular exhaust manifold with titanium studs after my OEM one was splitting

In a similar vain, my work bench has a set of Bilstein B8 Damptronic dampers with Eibach Pro springs and adjustable rear toe arms waiting to go on when I get a moment (+ new bearings and fixtures)

Then I've also got some powerflex gearbox mount inserts to try...
