What’s your favorite set of wheels for the 997?

I think they are great but look like they belong to a Carrera, rather than a turbo

Just got my BBS LM-Rs back, had them refinished with the centres in Porsche Aurum Gold, with SRR hardware gold Titanium bolts and valves.

Really happy how they’ve come out 👌

They look fantastic and I'm having my usual little meltdown that so many people seem to be able to source BBS wheels and I can't!

Mate these are Jap import and as rare as hens teeth, saying that £7k and they are yours hahaha

Do you mind me asking how you got them and how much they were?! I understand that they are worth more now, don't worry, I'm not going to assume you of trying to rip me off! I saw some (not exactly like this) sold on here recently for £6kish.

The thing is, I don't mind waiting if I can get my name down on some kind of waiting list or something.

I have been in contact with BBS directly and they were responsive enough to say they had none in stock, but when I suggested I make a deposit so that I can get some next time they are in stock they went quiet on me.

Is it a bit like Rolex? They want to keep them scarce and worry people are buying to flip them or something?

I was so naive with watches, I just walked in expecting to be able to buy one! I didn't even know people were buying them to flip. The the ones I asked for were apparently the hardest to get so they were probably rolling their eyes.

Yup, they're wicked

Funny how certain wheels just suit your eye. I am a fan of split-spoke wheels, that don't have "too much wheel", if you know what I mean. It's why, while I like my Sport Designs, they're not my favourite.

However, when I look for split spoke wheels, there are other things that I can't put my finger one... and I'll see some wheels that I like and some others that aren't really much different that I don't. Some just have a certain je ne sais quoi.
