Going to see this turbo on Wednesday. The guy is trading it in for a brand new C63 so is just looking for more cash than the trade in. It would be coming with the standard wheels and standard plate, both of which I prefer. As I say, going to view it on Wednesday and if I like it in the flesh I will arrange a PPI with Porsche.

What do you think to it? Any advice when viewing on what to look for? Going to read the Hartech buying guide when I get off this rig, as the proxy setting won't let it download for some reason.

It looks good to me. You have new tyres, transferrable warranty and mileage is not high either. Just get it inspected by Porsche to look for overrev's and any pending service. You can have 2 more years of Porsche warranty as it will complete 9 yrs since manufacture (2015).

Looks very tidy and well cared for.

I wouldnt anticipate anything nasty with the porsche 111 point check.

Alternatively you could ask the seller to take it in for a 'health check' which is free and ask for the overrevs etc.

You are buying a sound, quality car there. i would expect it to blow you away.

Only a tiny bit envious.....

:D

Get a PPI with an independent specialist, the 111 check isn't a great thing to rely on with a private sale. The fact it has the warranty is a good thing and should make any issues almost irrelevant, but I'd still want a good PPI done regardless.

Personally speaking I detest the wheels but otherwise seems good. I got my car cheaper than equivalents due to the owner also wanting to beat the trade in price (on a Panamera).

I recall somebody else on this forum removing the Denison unit as the OPC would not issue a warranty with this installed. Not sure on the exact detail, but might be worth checking up on with the OPC.

Sounds good. :thumb:

Haggle on that price though. At £40k he's getting the best of the deal.

This car came under a number of car dealers (recognise the car number plate and interior) when I was looking for mine. It was selling for £36.5k last december.

It was modified with a Oakley titanium exhaust and I did suspect that it has been remapped.

Just make sure that the OPC which approved the warranty have the latest PWIS 2 tester as the earlier models cannot detect if the car has been remapped before.

If it has been remapped before, the warranty is void (or in my case, will be unable to get a warranty).

For one reason or another i decided against this one. Dont let that put you off.

That was me. :(

I have since put it back on.

£36.5K :?:

Are you sure it wasn't £46.5K

How do you know that, do you know the car or seller? :?

Nope, no neither. I do know that 997tt's with a porsche warranty should be a very sound purchase.

Even if it was bright pink with yellow interior and blue wheels I would still say that, because as the owner of a car with an M96 engine and all the paranoia that goes with it, from this side of the fence the above example looks very good indeed.

He says the price is fixed as merc are offering 39k trade in?

This is strange as he said he bought it from an opc? And the plate is his personal one so don't know why it would have been up for sale with that on it.
When I get the opc check done, will they be able to guarantee me the warranty hasn't been voided?
