US Spec Red Tail Lights

Morning all, I’ve got US spec tail lights and wanted to ask if anyone has found a BA15S LED in amber that actually shines through the red lens to give amber/yellow turn signals.

I’ve tried a few different options including from Bergville but they all come through as red.

From reading about this issue/solution the wavelength needs to be between 610-620nm but none of the suppliers state anything other than the generic colour.

Has anyone had any luck if you’re running the all reds at the back?

It’s going to be the red outer lense that means its always going be red

Having not seen one of the EU reds in the flesh, am I right in assuming that they are a different colour red that allows orange light pass through?

If the next batch of LEDs doesn’t provide any positive results, it seems like I may need to change them out….

I have Bergvill full led set front and rear installed in mine. They indicate orange but the red lens does look a slightly different shade even though I thought they were US red.

Passed French Contrôle Technique, (MOT) no problem.

Apparently, the EU spec ones have an orange lens on the inside also… how that changes wavelengths is beyond me, but will try a few more LEDs before throwing in the towel.
