I hate the Pzeros asymmetricos... from personal experience

I am now on my second set of rears with a large difference in rolling radius. Pirelli has given me the 1 fingered salute. They are still on the car as I wait for spring.

I have decided on the Dunlop SPR9000 but they are not manufactured at the moment. Second choice is the Bridgestone S02A. The A suffix is a better tire than the S02... thread compound is softer and grippier.

i'm not a fan of Pirelli either..............

Never comfortable with P0 since my 911 sc days. I found them very fidgety/unsure in the wet. Have used Contisport Contact since on SC/964/993 and my current baby.

Your preference will also depend a lot on your driving habits and style too

IMHO !

Bridgestone SO2-A = very sticky so grip even in the wet but soft so don't last so long

Continential Sport 2 = very hard so last but handling in the wet is questionable

Pirelli Pzero = a good all rounder and works well in all conditions an an ok life

Michelin Pilot Sport = another great performer, excellent grip in all conditions and good life, F1 history is questionable

Goodyear F1 = best all round tyre IMHO but not Porsche rated so sadly can't be used!

About to change my rear tyres on my 993, before I call and order them.. I am on SO2-A's but find they have lasted 5 months (just over 4000 miles).

The fronts have about 4 mm on them, so may change them as well..

Any views ?

Michelin Pilot Sport -v- Pirelli Pzero -v- Bridgestone SO2-A...........

:?

Ive Conti Sport 2's good balanced ride in my opinion, but yes a they do feel a bit twitchy in the wet.

oh dan !

205/50/17 front

255/40/17 rear

try the Michelin Pilot Sports N2 or Pirelli P-Nero N3... harder than the SO2 so hsould last a bit more but still able

Conti Sports here as well. No problems in the wet, even at Llandow, maybe I wasn't trying hard enough!

having tried Conti Sport 2, Pilot Sports and P-Nero's I thought they were all a bit twitchy in the wet....... although Michelin's were the best at telling you what was going on'ish !

but that's where the S02 thread pattern is probably at it's best.....

Sundeep - P Zero Assim's or Rossos? You also introduce Nero's in later post?

I have used Assim's on a previous car and agreed that in wet not so grippy and dont last long. On 993 I can't comment yet, but IMHO Assim's look the best due to the lack of rim protector especially I think on the Technology wheel.
