don't worry fella, the answer will always arrive....

for 17's....

the tyres need to be the same size 255/40/17 and be N RATED

your 4 main options are

Bridgestone S02-A N4 Pirelli Pzero Rosso N3 Michelin Pilot Sport N2Continential Sport Contact 2 N2

Right the choice I have-

I think these are less than retail (our Parts manager has looked into prices for me)

B/Stone SO2/A N4 - £114

Pirelle PZero Rossi N3 - £105.04

Michelin Pilot Sport N2 - £118.25

Conti Sport Contact N - £94.30

All are 255/40/17 and all are +VAT

I have B/Stones on the front !

But need these for the rear’s, which will give me the best grip and last the longest… In Your Experiences !

Thanks Dan :D

Still think standard cup suits the car best.

like Sundeep says - don't mix the brands. One more set on the rear this time and then you can experiment next - unless you can get a deal on four Avons!!

As the others said, don't mix tyres, 993 seams to be rather sensitive to tyres and geometry, mixing brands can have interesting, and unpredictable on limit handling. Might be ok if you're gonna stay well below the speed limits but why spend money on a 993 and then drive it like a Mondeo!

Dan...

They must be N Rated, I know it's a few extra pennies but it's worth it.......

and never buy Avon tyres for your road Porsche 911........ period !
