I would pass on it £25-26k max 70,000+ miles and its been tarted up which is ok if you like it but its difficult to sell on in a tiny news paper add.

For that money +2k you might find a c4s/2s with similar mileage

nothing special - as above - standard car with half a aero kit and turbo twists

superchips - walk away.....

not worth the money IMO.

i know where theres a nice 3.8 car for sale though ;-)

Yes, assuming it's not the McCain variety. New chip can be v cost--effective way of getting a few more bhp and some more torque. Surely?

Have to say this car looks overpriced though. Standard C2 with some body kit, as Mark says. Might be a nice car, though, if all that attention has truly been lavished on it (and it doesn't need new dampers andwishbones....)

I remmember reading an article on Superchip a long while ago. Basically they're ready made and programmed chips to replace the ECU chip. Not tailored to your car but to a particular model. Not ideal.

and all they do with turbo cars, is raise the boost and keep raising the boost till it blows !

but they are cheap as it is all generic..... a porsche specialist is a better bet

too much!...............well over £5k more than what i paid for an almost year older aerokitted non-vario C4 with less miles..............IMHO i paid top money for mine

Are you looking in enough places. I'm sure I've seen some 993 S's up for sale at about this money.

And no warranty at that price seems somewhat optimistic.

As for chips, well I'd have some reservations about increasing the output without addressing other issues such as brakes and suspension. May not be a huge issue on a car like this but I'd have some concerns about any owner that simply chips a car for more power without a thought for the rest.

Superchips - dont know if they are the same as days of old - but....

performance gain on a normally aspirated car was done by increasing the rev limit! all the danger of over reving for 3bhp! eerrr not worth the dosh.

Turbo cars - as said before - raise the boost not the map points! bang!

exchanged a superchip fitted to my integrale for a reputable german tuners chip - massive difference - superchip was overfueling everywhere just to keep up with the boost levels! cheap fix oposed to proper mapping

Zeon gas lights no less, and matellic paint. How can you resist.

Something fishy about this ad- can't put my finger on it... considering he is called Mark Edwards, he has a remarkably poor command of British sentence construction.

Why deposit required at time viewing (sic)? Bet you wouldn't see that again!

and those one sided pics..... a big NO

for £32k it should be a real S !
