Toddler Seat without ISOFIX option

Hi Folks, first post so go easy πŸ˜›

I have a 718 CGTS with standard 2way seats and don't have the ISOFIX option for the connection points or airbag switch.

Does anyone have info on the use of a seat belt secured forward facing child seat without turning the airbag off. This is a big NO NO, however, the weight sensor for the seat will not detect a 12kg 2.5 year old + 4kg seat and so won't activate the airbag even though the belt will be done up to secure the seat. I believe 35kg+ is the range of sensor activation. Short distances to soft play or nursery is the aim here, not heavy track work πŸ€ͺ

Any experiences in this area would be helpful, as well as any recommended car seats.

Happy driving folks

How tall are they? Hard to know which group size you need

For me that's two different chairs. Below 100-105cm or so it's a full chair with a built in harness, after that it's a high-backed booster seat where the belt is across the child. Sure you can get them which go all the way to 12 years but it's a pain (and also not recommended by test.de for example)

These are the high back boosters I'm using - non isofix - so maybe helpful a little down the line for you.
