MORE ABOUT THIS PORSCHE 911

This is no ordinary Porsche 993, if there is such a thing. Although the last 993 to come off the standard production line was a blue Carrera sold to Jerry Seinfeld, this is THE LAST Air Cooled Porsche to leave the factory as a Special Order, and we have the original letter from Porsche to the original owner dated 25th September 1998 stating that this car with this chassis number was the last example of the Porsche 993 to leave the factory. It completed basic build on 27th March 1998 ( The day Ferry Porsche died) before spending 6 months with Porsche's 'Special Wishes' department (Now called Exclusive Manufaktur) to have the special order wishes carried out, which included Wheel Spokes and Brembo Brake Calipers painted in body colour , as well as extensive leather upgrades throughout the interior. It is finished in Ocean Blue with Midnight Blue Extender Leather.

It has covered only 11,029 kms from new. 2 plaques fitted, one on the passenger side dash paying homage to Prof. Ferry Porsche, and the other to the first owner, a friend of Ferry Porsche, a famous German writer stating in German that today he received the last Classic Porsche 911 (993 Turbo) with an air cooled Boxer engine. It states 'The pace is yours forever' and the date 25.09.1998.

It also has aluminium Door Sills bearing the inscription 'The Last Waltz' .The model is a Porsche 911 Turbo WLS2 with the 3.6l M64/60 engine developing 450 bhp via 2 Turbos and mated to a 6 speed manual gearbox. It has travelled to Japan and the U.S, it has been presented in many shows and won awards throughout its life to date, and currently resides with us in our temperature controlled environment.

Still currently registered in Belgium but a NOVA has been made to enable it to be registered in the UK with no import taxes to pay. This really is an incredibly rare car, and to the privileged few with the means to own it, it is a true piece of motoring history which marks the End of an Era for Porsche and for Sports Car Enthusiasts around the world. An absolute gem for even the most discerning of collectors.

it's a turbo, with some nice details and then there is that midnight blue interior

whilst the 993 is in my Porsche scholar opinion the finest 911 generation of all time, to be priced more than a 993 GT2 or a 980 Carrera GT...

Oh i think the standard 25 bags would be on offer

With enough money you can buy them anytime, this provenance you can’t. Its aimed at a different market ie people who already have a 980 GT and/or 993 GT ;-)

I don't disagree with that but it's not a £1.5m car by a long shot and that shot being a £1m
£500k wouldn't have an issue with that in today's market, an aggressive live auction could punt it much higher towards the £750k being low mileage and one of the last but I'm missing that other £750k at the moment.....
I would value production date over spending 6 months in Sonderwunsch. I get the whole factory commission but it still has a March production date....

Note, an Import NOVA is just the HMRC "Notification of Vehicle Arrivals" would be interested to see what value was given for the HMRC application

FFS another one with Moody Blue interior and they have the gaul to finish it with ruffled leather comfort seats

I don't know about The Last Waltz, it should be called The Last Walt (Mittey)

If they knock a zero off they'd have a better chance. I'm surprised it's not on the Collecting Cars auction platform and advertised as the Last Emperors (new clothes). On the PH CC thread they'll assassinate it for gaps in the service history and an incomplete tool kit - no plastic gloves in yellow packaging or clear plastic bag for puncture recovery 🙄

So it's worth £2m then

Just imagine what it would be worth if the silly dash plaque wasn't crooked...

half a million now dropped off the price

still needs another half a million dropping off the price before we can talk about it seriously

This rather special 993 is perhaps 99.999% investment, the remainder being it`s value as valued as a 993 Turbo that may be able to start and drive, or not. and could perhaps be in need of a bit of recommissioning to do so without causing damage to it`s self..? As ever the market will decide and perhaps not at a level which an owner thinks it should be worth, as seems to be the case currently in many specialist car sales, perhaps affected not only by economic basics but also some influence on the market created by baby boomers who seem to be increasingly trying to turn their old sports cars back into cash...?

which finally sells for what we said, in the £500k mark

Lovely but the market has gone crazy. If ICE cars are eventually banned you watch the exodus and the mother of all crashes. I'm not convinced the iphone social media bit coin gen are even all that interested in cars. The next electric in very nr future cars will be AI taxis. You'll just tell them where to take you. When they get to 100% Ai driver saftety record I think human drivers on road will be banned in next 20-30 years. Good luck with your air cooled investments!
