Coming to the end of 911 ownership soon (until those LHD turbos come into view) and have some test drives to do with potential buyers. Whats the deal with Insurance for them?

I'm fully comp, but what happens if they're driving and something goes bump? If they're fully comp on their policy then does that cover them enough for my car?

thanks!

No, that just covers them for anything they hit.

To be safe, I think they would need to take out some sort of Insurance specifically for the test drive.

Unless your deparate for that particular buyer, I'd say don't let them drive unless they take out cover on thier own Insurance for the day cover and have proof for it. Otherwise if the worse happens he'll just walk and you lose out.

we're at final stages so test drive is essential. I would have to add them to mine as they can't take out a policy on a car they don't own. Had the problem myself before. Also, day cover is impossible with a car that has been modified even cosmetically. Best thing I think is to add them to mine, if I can.

tricky business this.
