suspension part number question....

hope its in the right place but I couldn't find a technical question section on the forum

anyway.. bought some springs and wanted to know if they would fit my stock shocks?



Gemballa spings the spring says:


Gemballa Design - Porsche 993 - 29 954 HA (x2) and 29 954 VA (x2)

Would these fit the standard shocks?

I have a 1995 993 C2.


I was thinking about buying the Bilstein set up but which is best value for money (road use) where can I find them cheaply?

another thought is the bilstien shocks with these springs. Where is the best place to buy the shocks only? (I think their kits comes with eibach springs)


any help always appreciated

Flavour of the month are Koni FSD with M033 springs.
I am running Bisltein HD with M030 but next week I'll be on PSS10's.
The Gemballas are unknown to me but will probably fit the std shocks but will be low and stiff ? too low.

Ok makes sense. I want to go for the low ride. Same height as the current springs. (It has lowering springs on there but couldn't make out the brand they were that old!)

Im going to research these koni ffd's

Ideally as long as the ride height is adjustable im happy that way i can raise and lower it to look goid whilst remain practicle enough for town driving.

I might delay this job until after spring. I dont get my car back from northways until end of next week (ish) then i have paint work booked 1-2 weeks! :(

FSD's are only adjustable height at the front, the rear height is dictated mainly by the spring as the platforms are fixed.
 
Gert Carnewal (carnewal.com) have generally been pretty competitive. His website curently lists Bilstein B8 for 870 euros (but I think there is Belgian VAT to add).

There is a seller on ebay who will do a set of B6's (not sure if these have the longer threads to allow the ride height to be fully lowered) for less than £800. I've PM'd you their details.

Slightly off topic but out of interest where are you sourcing your PSS10's from and for how much. I am thinking about fitting these over Christmas, I will most likely be sourcing them from Rose Passion as they seem to be offering the most competitive price that I can find.
