Finally got round to watching Sunday's top gear. Veyron - wow phoar phoar. Can you get £850K for a small child?

Shame about the 997 stuff being glossed over.

Did any one else notice that halfway through Nigel Mansell's lap the number plate on the car changed, I think it was around the hammer head. Went from GX52 xxx to GU03 xxx, or something like.

Not surprising that he was quick, when you paste all the good bits together.

I think they have several of the same car though, for when the Americans/lunatics brake them.

Yes Mansell's lap was good but then did you see the week before, Ellen MacArthur did a 1.46.7, to top the Celebs Board, which is much more impressive, since by her own admission whe doesn't drive a car very often. And she did it without all the fuss that is usually made by the celeb drivers.

Just being cynicall, but stig shows all the drivers the best lines (which are painted on the ground) and ellen being a very small and light woman must have being gianing at least 30kilos over mansell, that has got to be worth 2- 3 seconds.

Yes she is a good driver, but her weight gives her a tremendous advantage over other good drivers in such a low power car.

Rant Over

Pardon me for being new to this but what does lol stand for?

Daz,

P.S

Mansell was always fat and fast, imagine if he had been slim :D

Also if he had shaved his lip sudburn a bit sooner, maybe more aerodynamic also

Last year I was sitting on my boat, tied up to the refuelling pontoon on the River Medina in Cowes, waiting to fill up with diesel. I watched Ellen McArthur as she approached the pontoon next to me. She came in too fast and crashed into the pontoon, accompanied by the cracking of wood and fibreglass.

She is a brave, gutsy sailor and is obviously pretty nifty around the TG track, but she still parks like a woman! :D
