sticker under bonnet (993)

Hi guys,

Also posted this on rennlist, but no replies? I was looking at the VIL sticker on the underside of the bonnet at the weekend and was trying to work out what the numbers are right at the very top of the sticker, above the vehicle ID number.

They are in this formatt xxx-xxxx (numerical) then a space followed by xxx (alphabetical)

There is no other reference to them in the cars paperwork, any idea what they are?

Yes, that's the numbers I'm talking about. Sundeep do you know what they are?

some of them would be print numbers i.e. such stickers are made in limited numbers

so porsche would know which series of cars had which stickers and could control their distribution and usage..

which I believe is common on all cars, if I remember I'll have a look my the mrs's VW tomorrow
